Slick Rick The Storyteller Comes to RENO!
There's nothing like the Slick Rick Experience. Every album is a parallel universe where old-time radio and urban culture collide. Aural theater merges with ghetto fantasy. Rick becomes a character actor with voice-throwing chops a ventriloquist would envy and narrative powers greater than Stephen King. In theory, it all seems preposterous - impossible to pull off. But because Rick has such a genuine gift on the mic - dexterity, cleverness, wit, articulation, fluidity - it works like gangbusters.

Special Guests: Jimmy Bain (Rainbow / DIO) & Haunted By Heroes
When: 5/27/2012 - 8 PM - (7:30 PM Doors) - Sunday Cargo
Where: Cargo @ CommRow - 255 North Virginia Street, Reno
Mandy Lion's WWIII Allstars Mandy Lion was raised in Germany and has been in the business of rock n' roll since the age of 11. Mandy, formed WWIII when he was 16 years old and began performing in the world famous music venues on Hollywood's Sunset Strip, including Gazzari's where WWIII broke Van Halen's long standing attendance record. Mandy Lion's amazing talent attracted the attention of Don Arden, the manager of Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Air Supply and many more top level acts. Mandy Lion's WWIII opened for major groups including Iron Maiden: these events quickly lead to Mandy's WWIII becoming a headlining super group. Mandy has performed with iconic musicians since a very young age including George Lynch (Dokken), James Kottack (Scorpions), Jimmy Bain (Rainbow/Dio), Vinny Appice (Black Sabbath), Joe Floyd (Warrior), Mikkey Dee (Motorhead), Tracy G (Dio), Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne), and many more. Mandy also headlined a show with Gilbey Clarke (Guns n' Roses) at Club Vodka in 2005. Mandy Lion is truly a Metal God, often referred to as "The Beast" his career accomplishments attest to this fact.

Mandy has an incredible vocal range and a unique voice. He is the creator of the extreme power vocal which many rock singers try to emulate but just can't seem to pull off. He is an incredible entertainer and puts on a show like nobody else within the music industry. The man is completely mesmerizing; crowds become captivated during Mandy's live performances.

There is a lot more to Mandy than being an incredible rock n' roller. For the past several years the man has been an activist speaking out against the abuse of animals and placing homeless, unloved animals in loving homes. Mandy is currently writing a book about the misconceptions people have applied to the majority of warrior canine breeds. The book is certainly destined to become a #1 Bestseller!

In addition to all of this, Mandy Lion is now contributing his time and efforts to help our Veterans that are returning home from active duty. Our Veteran's are in need of many things; proper housing, education, and job placement, these are only a few of the hardships our Veteran's face and require assistance with.

This is an incredibly unique experience so come out for an epic night of rock n' roll including special guest star Jimmy Bain (Rainbow/Dio) who will sit in for some numbers with Mandy's WWIII All-stars.

Haunted by Heroes is the world's youngest rock n' roll band and they are spectacular! They have been in the business of rock n' roll since the tender age of 8. These incredible musicians have played legendary clubs like The Whiskey A-Go-Go, The Roxy, Slims Club, The Knitting Factory, and they also recently performed on The Today Show. These incredibly talented boys are going places and will be around for a long, long time to come. Mandy is ecstatic about Haunted by Heroes opening this show for his WWIII All-stars, these kids started their career at an early age just like he did, their future looks so bright they better wear shades!

Fill The Silence Fill the Silence is a modern American rock band fronted by charismatic lead singer Nate Brown and brilliant lead guitarist Chris Bailey, and backed by the complex and driving rhythm section of guitarist Dave Swanberg, bassist Curtis Carver and drummer Tyrel Swezey; a dedicated group of hard working musicians performing a style of powerful, hook infused-melodic rock not easily labeled into one specific genre, reminiscent of both classic and new rock with a unique sound and presence.

Mickey Avalon

with special guest Millionaires & Dirt
When: 6/8/2012 - 11:59 PM - (11 PM Doors) - Thursday, Friday Cargo
Where: Cargo @ CommRow - 255 North Virginia Street, Reno
Mickey Avalon Mickey's contagious demeanor and unique writing style has made him a hot commodity in the music industry as hip-hop artist Young Jeezy and producer Jermaine Dupri jumped at the chance to collaborate with him for a Boost Mobile commercial. Avalon then joined forces with rock acts the Happy Mondays, and Unwritten Law, with whom he co-wrote the radio hit "Shoulda Known Better". His music has been featured in countless movies and television series including the HBO's series Hung, the animated series American Dad, the Duke Nukem Forever video game, "Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay" and most recently in the trailers for the Cameron Diaz film "Bad Teacher."

Free after years of industry red tape, Mickey Avalon has returned with a brand new album Loaded, which takes fans on a journey through the seedy streets of Hollywood. Mickey immediately launches into his salacious exploits with "Rock Bottom" an anthem for his riotous self-destructing behavior, and continues the depravity alongside Unwritten Law's Scott Russo on the album's lead single "Girlfriend", an ode to having friends with benefits. Avalon's diversity allows him to slip into sleek electro-synth beats ("I'm Hot"), playfully spit intricate rhymes over a classic hip-hop beat ("More Junk"), and rock out while letting it all hang out ("Tight Blue Jeans").

An Evening with Kellie Pickler Kellie Pickler is everything that's right about that uniquely modern place where reality and celebrity come together. She is first and foremost a force of nature, a young woman who followed a restless small-town dream to the upper reaches of the music world. She came armed with real talent, for she is a singer who has learned well from idols like Tammy, Patsy, Loretta and Dolly. Still, it takes much more to enter the cultural consciousness as firmly and unmistakably as she has, and Kellie brings more in spades.
